Sigma's "Bionic Buffer"

Buffer for DNA electrophoresis that has lower conductivity than TAE/TBE and thus allows faster run times.

1X buffer bionic buffer is simply 10 mM boric acid with a pH adjusted to between 8.0 and 8.5

Evidence:

- Its MSDS makes it explicit that it contains only boric acid and borax (sodim salt of borate);

- This is evidently based on this paper (if the file is no longer there, here is Pubmed link) and the US patent #7163610by the same authors.
